Interactive Menu
Most websites now use interactive menu's. This makes navigation for the site visitor easier and faster. Usually these are placed at either the left or the right had side of the page.
Animated Captions:
The purpose of animated captions is so the viewer can play along at home. The captions are bright and clear so the viewers don't have problems reading them at home. The animated captions usually have effects when they appear, or sound effects when they appear on screen.
Idents
An ident is short for identification, they are showed to identify what channel is currently on. Most if not every channel had their own ident that is individual to them. Every channel is in competiton with eachother so they have to stand out. Title and Credit Sequences:
The title sequence of a film or television show is something used to present the program which includes the title, some times animation or cast are involved or shown in this.
The purpose of end credits is to show everyone who was involved in creating that film, occasionally the film will include some animations along with the credits. Usually music similar to the films soundtrack is played.
Stings:
Esting are just like an ident but for the channel E4, usually their around 10 seconds long and can be made with any program or in any way they would like. E4 even have competitions on for every day people to make an Esting and have a possibility of getting their Esting shown on E4.
Web Banners:
Web banner is a way of advertising on the internet, they are embedded on a web page, this one was from the Channel 4.
